Dog Friendly Restaurants Near Me With Patio

Dog Friendly Restaurants Near Me With Patio – Love it or hate it, winter can be a tough time for dogs in Utah. While there is (usually) plenty of snow in the mountains, the cold weather can make it difficult to find other winter activities to do with your dog in Salt Lake City. Despite the cooler temperatures, many Utah dog owners are surprised to find that outdoor food is completely off the table during the winter months.

Although many Utah restaurants close their patios during the winter, there are still plenty of dog-friendly options in Salt Lake City. Whether you’re looking for brunch, apres-ski, or just catching up with friends, these 7 dog-friendly restaurants should be at the top of your list.

Don’t forget to make sure your dog has the proper tag and city license before lunch! The Salt Lake City Health Department requires all dogs to show both tags when eating at an approved yard, and you must provide proof. Coming to Salt Lake City from out of town? Just provide proof of sound and your out-of-state driver’s license.

Dog Friendly Patio Dining In The Woodlands, Texas

Located south of Sugarhouse on the edge of Millcreek, Brickyard Bar raises the bar for sports pub food. From Traeger’s smoked meat and cauliflower wings to grilled cheese and churros, there’s something for everyone on the menu. Diners can pair their meal with Brickyard’s extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu. Brunch is available on weekends from 10am to 3pm. Its dog-friendly patio was recently expanded to provide three times the outdoor space. It is recommended that you try to place the table in an enclosed area near a building with extensive heating.

The closest you can get to an indoor restaurant with your dog is definitely Root’d Cafe in Cottonwood Heights (not to be confused with Roots Cafe in Millcreek). The dog-friendly Root’d patio sits under a roof to provide year-round shade, but the addition of vinyl siding and heaters make this patio absolutely perfect for the winter months. The focus on health is reflected in their farm-to-table menu for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Root’d has an amazing dinner with amazing beignets and a bucket o’bubbles (our favorite) with a glass of prosecco and your choice of 4 fresh juices. Patio space is limited, so make reservations in advance if possible!

At Salt Lake Brewing Company, Fisher Brewing Company has been brewing in Utah since 1884. Located in the Grain District, those 21 and older can add this hot dog deck to their winter rotation. With over 15 beers on tap, Fisher’s is the perfect place to meet up with friends and your dog(s) in tow. In winter, you can expect their comfortable decks and tents with additional heaters scattered around the accommodation. In our experience, this keeps the outdoor space almost as cool as the tap room. Although Fisher Brewing doesn’t serve food itself, a local food truck is on site almost every day.

Handle Bar, the ultimate Marmalade watering hole, bills itself as “Salt Lake’s only bike and mustache bike,” but you can add dogs to that list! Two gas fireplaces and overhead heaters keep the many tables on the Handle Bar deck cozy even when the temperature drops. Vegetarians and all foodies alike will enjoy this classic American pub menu offering a wide selection of food. Don’t miss brunch – great food and $2 mimosas! The Handle Bar is also a dog-friendly restaurant that offers a dog run where your pooch can run while you grab another drink or take a bath.

The dog-friendly climate play area is one of the highlights of Ice Haus Murray. This low-key neighborhood pub, as the name suggests, has an extensive German-inspired menu that includes both omni and vegetarian dishes. Where can you get a vegan corndog? You’ll find 160 beers to start or polish your palette. The Ice Haus’ large indoor patio has overhead heaters, counter-height tables and is a great option for large groups that need more space. The kitchen is open until midnight every day and dinner is served every Saturday and Sunday.

Perhaps Salt Lake City’s most popular breakfast spot, Park Cafe now has a covered patio that’s open year-round. Equipped with a fireplace and heaters, this cozy patio will keep you and your dog cozy during the winter months. With crowded places and long waiting lists (sometimes up to 2 hours on weekends!), we only recommend this dog-friendly side during off hours and days. Along with a walk around Liberty Park before or after a meal, the Park Cafe is a solid choice for dogs in winter.

Level Crossing Brewing opened its doors in 2019 and officially began welcoming dogs on its newly renovated patio in 2022. In the winter they add a heated tent in addition to their fireplace so the deck is accessible year round! Their menu includes wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and appetizers that complement their craft beers. Hospitality is the cornerstone of the crossing, so your dog will definitely feel as welcome as you do.

Another amazing Granary District brewery is Templin Family Brewing, also known as TF Brewing. Their large, fenced yard is one of our dog favorites in the summer, but winter can get pretty chilly if you pull up one of the rocking chairs by the fire pit. Fires are not lit unless requested, so you may want to track down an employee to help.

A cozy tea house in the heart of the Sugar district, Tea Zaanti courtyard is available all year round. There is a small sitting area on the covered porch, but nice heaters can be used if needed.
