Leo Carrillo State Beach is dog-friendly, and there are plenty of dog-friendly hikes in the Santa Monica Mountains to keep your pup busy. Although this country town doesn’t have any great dog-friendly beaches, this beautiful Southern California city has plenty of fun things to do for dogs.
Explore the dog shops at Arcade Plaza, stop by Barts Books, taste kombucha at Revel Kombucha Bar, and take your dog for a walk in Libby Park. We’ve visited Santa Barbara several times over the past 12 years, and rain or shine, the city is always fun to explore with our dogs. There are many beaches and dog parks that you can visit even if you spend a day in Santa Barbara.
My suggestion is to explore Hendry Beach (also known as Arroyo Burro Beach County Park) near the Douglas Family Preserve, or explore Thousand Step Beach or quiet Mesa Lane Beach, walk along the shore of the Park and walk at Alice Keck Memorial Park. The garden.

Solvang (which means “Sun Fields” in Danish) looks like something out of a Danish fairy tale. This unique city with a strong Scandinavian charm is often found in one of the most beautiful cities in California and is also very friendly.
