Dog Friendly Places Near Me Indoor

Dog Friendly Places Near Me Indoor – Like it or not, winter can be a tough time for a dog in Utah. While there is (usually) plenty of snow to enjoy in the mountains, the cold weather makes it difficult to find other winter activities with your dog in Salt Lake City. Despite the cooler temperatures, many Utah dog owners are surprised to learn that patio dining isn’t completely off-limits during the winter months.

While most restaurants in Utah close their patios for the winter, Salt Lake City still has plenty of dog-friendly patio options. Whether you want to hike, ski, or meet up with friends, these 7 dog-friendly restaurants should be at the top of your list.

Remember to make sure your dog has a rabies tag and an up-to-date city license before feeding him! The Salt Lake Department of Health requires all dogs to display both tags when feeding at approved locations and may be required to provide proof. Coming to Salt Lake City from out of town? If you’re abroad, just show your driver’s license and rabies certificate.

Brickyard Bar, bordering Millcreek south of Sugarhouse, offers an upscale sports bar with pub food. From Traeger bacon and cauliflower wings to grilled cheese curds and churros, the menu has something for just about everyone. Diners can pair their meals with Brickyard’s extensive beer, wine and cocktail menu. Brunch is available on weekends from 10:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Their dog-friendly yard recently nearly tripled in size. We recommend trying to take the table very close to the building due to overheating.

The closest you can get to dining indoors with your dog is Root’d Cafe in Cottonwood Heights (not to be confused with the eponymous Roots Cafe in Millcreek). Root’d’s dog-friendly patio sits below the roofline to provide year-round shade, but adding a hard plastic vinyl cover and heater makes this patio perfect for the winter months. Their focus on health on their farm is evident in the style of the dining table for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Root’d serves breakfast in the morning with a bottle of Prosecco and 4 freshly squeezed juices, along with amazing beignets and a bucket full of amazing apples (our personal favourite). The number of places is limited, so make an appointment as soon as possible!

Fisher Brewing Company is a staple of the Salt Lake brewing world, brewing beer in Utah since 1884. Anyone over 21 in Granary County can add this dog-friendly heated patio to their winter rotation. With over 15 beers usually available, Fischer’s is a great place to meet your dog friends. In winter, their cozy patio is covered with canopies, and additional heaters are scattered around the seating area. In our experience, this makes the outdoor area look just as mature as the tap room. While Fisher Brewing itself doesn’t serve food, local food trucks are there almost every day for your entertainment.

Marmalade’s flagship watering hole Handle Bar bills itself as “Salt Lake’s only bike and razor bar,” but you can add dog-friendly to that list! Two gas fireplaces and a heater keep the handful of tables on Handle Bar’s patio cozy even when the temperature drops. Vegetarians and omnivores alike will enjoy this classic American pub menu that caters to both dietary preferences. Brunch – Don’t miss out on delicious food and $2 mimosas! The Handle Bar is the only dog-friendly restaurant that offers a dog run where your pup can rest for a drink or a trip to the bathroom.

An all-season dog-friendly beer garden is one of the highlights of Murray’s Ice Haus. This simple neighborhood pub, as the name suggests, offers a varied German-inspired menu that offers both omni and vegetarian dishes. Where else can you get a vegan corndog? You’ll also find 160 different beers to complement or cleanse your palette. Ice Haus’ large covered patio has self-warming counter-height tables and is a great choice for large groups looking for more space. The kitchen is open until midnight every day and serves lunch on Saturday and Sunday.

Salt Lake City’s most popular breakfast spot, Park Cafe, now has a year-round rooftop patio. This cozy patio with a fireplace and heater will keep you and your son cozy in the winter. With limited space and often long waiting lists (sometimes up to 2 hours on weekends!), we recommend this terrace for dogs only during peak hours and days. Park Cafe with a walk in Liberty Park before or after a meal is a good dog-friendly option in winter.

Level Crossing Brewery opened in 2019 and began accepting dogs on its newly expanded patio in 2022. In addition to the fireplace, a heated tent was added to make the winter yard accessible year-round. Their menu includes wood-fired pizzas, sandwiches and desserts made with their own brews. Friendliness is the cornerstone of railroad crossings, so make sure your dog feels as welcome as you do.

If you want to spend time with your dog in the winter, some of the patios we want to mention have a heat source on the patio.

Another Granary District brewery is Templin Family Brewing, better known as TF Brewing. The large fenced-in patio is one of our dog-friendly favorites in the summer, but the winters can be chilly unless you get one of the Adirondack chairs by the fire pit. The fire will not be lit unless requested, so you may need to find a staff member to help.

Located in the heart of the Sugar House neighborhood, Tea Zanti Courtyard is a friendly tea shop open year-round. The lowest seating is on the covered terrace, but there is also a place on the beautiful terrace that can be used when standing heaters are needed.

It’s the holiday season, which means you probably want to spend as much time as possible with your pup by the fire, eating pumpkin pie, and shopping, shopping, shopping. The one thing that makes all spending better? Your dog, of course!

Dog Friendly Hangouts In Las Vegas

More and more stores are implementing dog-friendly policies, and we’ve compiled a list of 35 national retailers that allow you to bring your pup while you shop (with pet stores that are pet-friendly, of course)!

To help you have the best experience with your dog, we’ve divided the list into two categories: 1) stores that have confirmed that they allow dogs everywhere, and 2) stores that have pet policies that vary by location and management. Because we know how annoying it can be to search for a list of pet-friendly stores!

*Please note: As a responsible pet owner, it is important to follow each retailer’s pet policy. If your dog is not a service dog, don’t introduce him to a store that isn’t dog friendly (and never say your dog is a service dog just to walk into the store!). Even retailers with dog-friendly policies leave it up to location managers to allow puppies on their premises, so call before bringing your pooch on your next shopping spree.

Half Price Books Sellers prides itself on being dog-friendly (in fact, in the store’s early days, they had so many employees bringing dogs to work that they had to limit the number of puppies to two per store!). All they ask is that your pup is well behaved, on a leash, and doesn’t disrupt the shopping experience of other customers. See the experience through a dog’s eyes!

If things like fish finders and hunting cameras are on your holiday shopping list, you should definitely visit Gander Outdoors or Camping World and bring your pup! Gander Outdoors and Camping World (owned by the same parent company) have liberal pet policies and welcome their four-legged friends. They even have a dog supplies section!
