Dog Friendly Vacation Rentals Near Nyc
From Cashier / Highlands to Asheville. One of my favorites is Maggie Valley because it has many dog kennels for rent, plus it is close to the Blue Ridge Parkway and there are plenty of walking opportunities for you and your dog. Asheville is also nearby, with good restaurants for dogs.
My favorite trip with my husband and Rocky was a few days stop at Outer Banks, south of Ocracoke Island on the east coast.

Tips For The Best Pet Friendly Beach Vacations
The National Park is a great place to go with the dogs and Acadia National Park is one of the best places. More than 100 miles of trails are navigable, and dog-friendly buses transport riders around parks and islands.
Check out trails like Precipice Trail, Champlain Mountain & Beehive Loop Trail, and Gorham Mountain Trail. Campgrounds such as Blackwoods and Seawall accept pets for overnight visits. Outside the national park border is Little Long Pond, a 1,000-acre park where dogs can run freely.
There is a restaurant in the park and the good news – pets are welcome! Visitors to Acadia National Park have been queuing for spectacular views and excursions at Jordan Pond House since 1893. If you visit in the summer, do not miss “Tea on the Lawn”, a great tradition that has continued for over 40 years.
Travelers planning their New England trip with the comfort of their pet in mind may want to consider a few days on the Cape Cod. Activities and attractions for dogs are waiting for you and your furry companions, as beautiful beaches such as Cape Cod National Seashore and Nauset Light Beach are where they can swim in shallow water.

Mashpee Commons is an attractive shopping district with open doors for everyone, including furry friends.
On the list of pet-friendly vacation spots, Bar Harbor tops the list. There is so much to do, from walking together in Acadia National Park. Relax on a Frenchman Bay cruise for two hours with spectacular views of Maine Beach, Acadia National Park and Frenchman Bay Island.
For dinner, most restaurants welcome pets when eating out. Leary’s Landing Irish Pub, Finback Ale House and Cottage St. The pub is a well-known establishment for bringing Fido.
Without a doubt Newport offers the best holiday dogs in the country. Start with a 5.5 mile walk on the Cliff Walk with beautiful views of the Atlantic. Since you are close to a slope, it is best to keep your friend on the belt. Have lunch at Sardella’s Restaurant or O’Brien’s Pub, which has a dog menu and water for everyone.

In the afternoon or evening, explore Newport Harbor on a pet cruise with Gansett Cruises, a highly rated local operator offering a 75- and 90-minute beach cruise. Finally, a beautiful waterfront walk is a great way to end a wonderful day with your best friend.

Biltmore Estate Historically allows dogs to be kept in designated outdoor areas with many of its magnificent gardens.
When you’re ready to eat, Wicked Weed Brewing, White Duck Taco Shop and Sunny Point Cafe are known for their delicacies and pet-friendly principles. Asheville also has a rich wine set, with vineyards like Addison Farm welcoming wine lovers and their dogs.

Burlington is the perfect weekend for pets, especially if you want to stay active. Start by riding or walking on the Burlington Bike Trail, a beautiful trail that runs along Lake Champlain. Head to the Church Street Marketplace, a pedestrian-only walkway lined with shops, restaurants and street performers. You and your dog can enjoy its lively atmosphere – as long as they live on the farm.

Waterfront Park is a great place to hang out, eat or relax and enjoy the surroundings. If you are natural enough, order a beer at Zero Gravity Craft Brewery or a snack at the bustling Burlington Farmers Market.
Holidays are best with dogs, so Portland is a great destination if you plan to bring your four-legged friends. Follow the Eastern Promenade Trail until you reach East End Beach, a pet-friendly beach with an outdoor play area.
Many restaurants accept animals. Enjoy the famous sausage at The Thirsty Pig or sit on the cool waterfront at Porthole Restaurant and Pub. Westin Portland Harborview is a popular destination for dog owners to spend a night or two exploring this thriving seaside town.
