Located in the White River National Forest, Sylvanus Lake offers stunning scenery, great fishing, and great hiking. Cozy up with friends on the large porch or gather around the fire pit. Cabins can accommodate up to 6 people. Pets are allowed in cabins 2-9.

Tired of people and want to escape to a far away country with your winter wonder dog? Head to Vegas State Park near Grand Mesa National Forest for hiking, snow sledding, and ice fishing. Pets are allowed in cabins 1, 2 and 5.
For those who want all the comforts and conveniences of home, check out these 2 bedroom log cabins at Navajo State Park. Located on the border of Colorado and New Mexico, the sprawling park offers hiking, swimming and fishing. Pets are allowed in cabins 28 and 31.
Dog-friendly cabins: All state park cabins have a $10 per night pet fee, and only a few cabins are dog-friendly (listed above). Dogs should always be kept on a leash 6 feet or less. Minimum 2 night stay. Bring your own linen, dishes and camping stove. Reservations are available online and over the phone.
Fan girl? Head to Glen Echo Resort in Poudre Canyon, which looks like Colorado’s version of The Shire. The canyon is characterized by majestic bluffs, lush green canyons, woodlands, and the rapids of the Poudre River. There are several mountains within about 40 minutes of the Grand Canyon in Flagstaff.
