Surrounded by two beaches of calm blue water, Halifax is the perfect place to camp with your dog in New South Wales. Located just two and a half hours drive from Sydney, this stunning location is home to deep water boat ramps, and a variety of great cafes and restaurants too. The same pet rules apply to Halifax which means you have to work at peak times in this park, but when you do, be prepared to head straight to Shoal Bay Beach, barbecue, picnic areas and a series of walking and cycling routes.
Traeth Llawen Caravan Park is located in the heart of the coast of Murramarang National Park (and is the very definition of a beach). For campers (and caravans if you are so inclined), you can choose from covered, powered or unpowered sites that are on the beach or sites with views of the beach. All campsites serve open fires in a fire pit or above ground. Your dog is allowed here throughout the year but a maximum of two dogs are allowed in each reserve and you must keep your dog on a lead when you are in the park.

Coochwood Campground, three and a half hours northwest of Sydney, is remote and mostly only accessible by 4WD (2WD can sometimes work, but can be difficult). The site is situated on the Telegherry River and offers a rainforest setting with a lake for canoeing, dogs or otherwise.
