The Oranżeria restaurant is dog-friendly, but you can leave your four-legged friends at home if you prefer to dine in an exclusive restaurant overlooking the lake. Towels are provided at the entrance to some of the circular ponds when returning from a wet walk or swim, and nearby you can explore the lake aboard the beautiful Ullswater steamer.
A weekend of action awaits at Armathwaite Hall. There is archery, clay pigeon shooting, tennis courts and even photography classes, as well as the usual beautiful lakeside walks on your doorstep. Your dog can join you (on a leash) for most of these activities, and at the end of a long day he can relax with you in the living room. They love dogs here so much that they have even created a dog menu, which includes vegetables selected by the chef and the weight of chicken or sausage or healthy dry food.
Local craft beers are the main event at this lovely, cozy pub with rooms in the heart of Ambleside, where they’ve been pouring pints for almost 300 years. South of the Lake District, just beyond the borders of the national park, lie the dunes of the Cumbrian coast. We accept 2 pets at an additional cost of GBP 15 per pet. Not all of them are pet friendly, so please indicate in your booking that you are traveling with dogs. They prepare a special breakfast for people traveling with dogs.
