The UK’s best dog-friendly beaches have been revealed, with the latest data from online polls used to find Britain’s favorite beaches.

With spring promising warmer weather and April being National Pet Month, it’s a great time to relax with your four-legged friend.
Durdle Door Beach in Dorset came out on top with a score of 8.85 out of 10. The famous limestone cliffs, described as “a great beach walk for dogs and their owners, are a dog lover’s dream adventure”. Results based on over 4,298 West Coast reviews.
Another beach resort in Dorset, Maine O’Ware Beach, came second with a score of 8.3. Also known as East Dardle Gate, this is a clear water beach sheltered from the waves so you can splash around with your backpack.
The first beach on the list is Three Cliffs Bay in Glamorgan, linked to the Welsh coast. There are dunes here with plenty of space for beach walks.

In fourth place is Marloes Sands in Pembrokeshire with a score of 8.2 out of 10. The stunning hillside golden beach is a “perfect photo opportunity with your pup”, the post says.

However, beaches without Google Maps ratings and reviews were not included in the study. Before calculating the mean score, the scores were averaged to obtain a total score.
